Social Relief International vision is to build on communities internal capacities and strengths to create social relief and change, and contribute to the overall welfare and development of communities by caring for the young children.
Description
Social Relief International was founded in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2004 by Florian Ezui and Koffi Ahlijah, two human services professionals willing to apply their knowledge and experience to promote child welfare and social change in Africa. The founders hold for truth that the future of developing countries will depend on their ability to ensure the welfare of every child and promote health, human right, education and social support for the young generation.
The mission of Social Relief International is inspired by five core values as described below:
Aid: We are in business to assist needy communities by devoting all our energies and resources to help children and their parent in their struggle for a decent living environment.
Advocacy: Whenever necessary, we will speak for the voiceless communities and call for changes of mind, policy and society.
Empowerment: The ultimate goal of our organization is to help the communities we serve become less dependent and provide them with more resources and options to deal with social problems.
Commitment: We are committed to the cause we believe in and to the communities we serve. We will always demonstrate our commitment by embodying the highest ethical standards, developing a trustful relationship with our partners and promoting accountability at all level and all time.
Pro-activity: Our strength and success will be based upon our ability to be ahead of the game and initiate studies, implement preventive program and focus on research to avoid communities breakdown and ensure Children welfare.
