This year, as an organization, we are exploring several locations outside of New York State to assist with litter issues and to prevent litter buildup across numerous state and federal lands. We have spoke with a volunteer coordinator at the Smoky Mountains National Park Office, and they have agreed to allow Morgan Duke Conservation Society to participate in their Litter Patrol NC/TN. The volunteer coordinator at Smoky Mountain National Park is also allowing us to recruit volunteers who want to serve with us. Anyone is welcome to sign up, including local residents, individuals, families, visitors who are just staying for a short time, high school students seeking volunteer hours to apply for scholarships, and college students and organizations. Volunteers must complete a Smoky Mountain National Park volunteer form.
