We are looking to build community around our young people and are enlisting individuals to participate in our FRIENDRAISER. Our organization was created to honor the memory of Coach Lou Herrera and currently includes majorettes, a step team and a drumline serving kids ages 5 to 18 in NY and NJ. We are launching a basketball team, a contemporary dance troupe and a cheerleading team in August.
Specifically, we are looking for individuals with social media accounts who would be willing to follow our various social media channels (we currently use Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube).
Our goals are to provide a safe and encouraging virtual space for our youth artists and athletes who constantly monitor our social media pages - looking for an encouraging word from our followers. For those who are local to NY or NJ, you may also know of young people who are looking for positive, safe outlets and will be able to share recruitment information when we post it.
Our goal is to raise our "friend count" by 100 people on the 25th of each month. Won't you help us?? Feel free to respond to this ad and we will send you the handles for all of our social media channels. Thank you for your consideration and thank you for "being a friend"!

Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
