Board Position: Administrative Director/Secretary
THE ALEXANDER FOUNDATION
The Alexander Foundation is completely volunteer run. The Board of Directors is a working board, meaning that all organization operations are conducted by the Board and program area committees.
This positions is on the Board of Directors for The Alexander Foundation. The Administrative Director / Secretary oversees and coordinates monthly operations of The Alexander Foundation. This entails coordinating monthly Board meetings, ensuring organizational documents are organized and current, and supporting other board members. The Administrative Director / Secretary serves on the Executive Committee. According to the Colorado Revised Statute, all Colorado nonprofits are required to have a Secretary and must keep minutes of all board’s meetings, along with a record of any actions taken by the board without a meeting.
- Ensure board meeting minutes are documented and develop meeting agendas in partnership with the Board Chair.
- Develop organizational processes and procedures to document operations.
- Record all actions taken by the Board of Directors in meetings and via electronic communications.
- Support the maintenance of a database of applicant records and provide data reports for annual reports.
All board members are expected to serve as ambassadors for the organization: articulate The Alexander Foundation's mission, accomplishments, and goals. It is also an expectation that all Board Members fundraise on behalf of The Alexander Foundation: soliciting donations, identify potential sponsors, and networking with donors.
