"Rec on the GO!" kids excited about their books!

National Night Out Events across the city of St. Paul on Tuesday, October 6th.

TFBB will be joining the police & fire departments, city officials and possibly even some sports team members on this night of neighborhood fun! Please register to volunteer for one of many individual celebrations. (New locations are still being added) If you live in St. Paul, you may be able to hand out free books at your own neighborhood celebration.

"We mobilize free books to children of all ages to engage families and communities in cultivating minds". We value our children and families and strive to help nourish the the growth of all communities by closing the literacy gap. By offering books and promoting the love of reading, each child is empowered to realize a world full of opportunities. Our aim is to provide free books to as many children as possible.

Description

The Free Book Buggie is a non profit that is passionate about books and sharing the love of reading with all children. Our goal is to cultivate literacy and show children that reading is fun, allows them to dream, learn, go on adventures, and be empowered to shape their future.

What we do:

  • collect, sort and store thousands of donated books
  • partner with over 85 organizations
  • fill the buggie & travel to events across the Twin Cities
  • table our books by reading levels, baby up to high school chapter
  • empower children to choose the books they would like
  • provide multi lingual handouts to parents regarding the importance of reading to their children
  • volunteer "reading buddies" are at certain events
  • supply children's books to organizations in need
  • AND, we have been known to restock empty Little Free Libraries!
We have no boundaries when it comes to giving books and spreading the love of reading to children.

  • We realize your time and talents are very valuable. Any amount of time you wish to volunteer with TFBB is appreciated!
  • Our events are fun, busy and easy to manage. We set up a table, display our free books and let children choose books to take home. If some help is needed in finding that perfect book, we lend a hand. Every child deserves free books from TFBB!
