VOLUNTEER DUTIES
This is an IN-PERSON volunteer opportunity.
Volunteers will be supporting online learning facilitation for kids grades K-6 at our Murphy Canyon office. They will be helping the students in our classrooms log into their daily instruction, tutoring them in different subject material, assisting in prep, facilitation and clean up of other programmatic enrichment activities as well as potentially help with disinfecting program areas.
WE ARE SEEKING INDIVIDUALS WHO CAN COMMIT TO VOLUNTEERING AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK OR ONCE EVERY OTHER WEEK ON A RECURRING BASIS FOR THE DURATION OF THE FALL SEMESTER.
Volunteer shifts are 8 a.m.-Noon or Noon-4 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays. Up to 4 volunteers are needed on each shift. Volunteers are needed starting Monday, 14 September 2020 through Friday, 18 December 2020.
Volunteers must comply with and enforce COVID requirements in place at the time of volunteering.
Additional volunteers would be beneficial to help with video editing as well as remote monitoring of live programming (Operation Little Learners Facebook Live).
VOLUNTEER QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with kids or education in the field is preferred, desire to help children learn is a must. Must exhibit high levels of patience and empathy.
COMPUTER SKILLS ARE REQUIRED.
We will interview interested candidates.
Volunteers at least 18 years old must undergo a LiveScan criminal background check and drug screening prior to volunteering with children. Screenings are done at our expense.
