We are looking for industry experts who want to give back to their community in an executive capacity by volunteering to be among our outstanding board members. You should be motivated and willing to commit to our non-profit and new private entity for at least three years to lay the structures for something exceptional.

Fundraising and Grants Writer-Director:

For this position, we seek individuals with experience working with small and large non-profits in the Education, Environment, waste management, and construction industries. If your experience does not match this list and you are still interested, please get in touch with us and review it case-by-case.

As a Fundraising and Grant Writer, you will work directly with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, or advisors to develop, implement, and manage all fundraising and grant activities to ensure our projects, programs, staff, and administration are funded to support our mission.

Board Member General Responsibilities
may include some of the following in addition to the specific role:

Governing

  • The board evaluates itself and the organization, ensures financial and program accountability and transparency, includes ---reviews the effectiveness of waste management programs and projects; mandates needs assessment of constituency every few years; sets meeting agendas; creates necessary committees, keeps minutes, and recruits influential members.

Planning

  • Creates the mission and vision, sets goals and objectives, develops a strategic plan, and grants procedures)

Oversee the use of resources.

  • Ensures sufficient funds are raised (including operations, marketing, and public relations) and spent appropriately.

Compliance

  • Conflicts, insurance, file required papers, and acts as a trustee/fiduciary; creates and abides by the bylaws.

Evolving Role of the Board Members

  • Governance (oversight of operations, including financial accountability)
  • Support (fundraising, public relations, and providing individual expertise)

Mission is to recover Latex paint from businesses and residents to change the lives of people in underserved communities throughout the world, one gallon at a time. Since 2010, as many as 320,000 tons of discarded paints have been removed from the waste stream, recycled, then shipped to 45 countries in West Africa, the Caribbean, Central & South America, and targeted cities in the U.S. The goal is to use colors to help beautify the local structures, boost people's confidence and happiness, change lives, and assist vulnerable individuals in reaching their full potential. Everyone wins!

Our efforts have reached a population of 13000000. Our worldwide volunteers have completed 625800 volunteer hours by painting beautiful murals and family homes, including schools, sports centers, orphanages, churches, and homeless shelters. At Global Paint, we believe everyone deserves to live in a beautiful and colorful environment, no matter their circumstances; increasing access to paint in underserved communities could improve the local economic power for millions of vulnerable families and uplift the spirit of the people.
