We are a 501(c)3 environmental non-profit that provides education and conservation programs to the communities of Johns creek and Sandy Springs. We also operate the Sandy Springs Recycling Center.

Help the North Fulton Community Recycle Their Materials!

Note: If you are a volunteer seeking credit for court-ordered community service, please see our community-service specific volunteer description as it contains additional information and paperwork.

Help community members recycle their materials at our Sandy Spring Recycling Center and continue to Keep North Fulton Beautiful! Guide customers to the correct bin for their recyclables, assist in collecting donations, and bale cardboard so that our materials are ready to be reduced, reused, and recycled.

Dress: Please dress in comfortable protective clothes for that day's weather conditions and ensure that you have closed-toe shoes. You will be outdoors for the duration of this opportunity and working in close proximity to heavy items, motor vehicles, and machinery. We want you to be comfortable and safe! Please also bring your own clearly-marked water bottle.

COVID-19 Precautions: All volunteers will be outdoors, wearing masks if they are not fully vaccinated, and adhering to social distancing guidelines. Hand sanitizer will also be available. By volunteering for this opportunity, you agree to abide by these rules during this service opportunity.

School credit and age restrictions: If you would like to get credit for your volunteer hours to submit to your school, please visit your school’s volunteer service coordinator to learn about their preferred method of verification (many schools have a school-specific portal you will need to log on to). Volunteers 16-17 of age must have a guardian co-sign a liability waiver (below). Volunteers 16 and under must also have a chaperone 21+ years old present with them during their service (one chaperone for every three 16 year-olds and younger present).

Mission Statement

Keep North Fulton Beautiful is an environmental non-profit that provides education and conservation programs to the communities of Johns Creek and Sandy Springs. Our mission is to educate influence and activate our community in the beautification, conservation and preservation of our environment.


We have served our community since our formation as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 1984, and as an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, we share the vision of making our communities cleaner and more beautiful places to live, work, and play.

We operate the Sandy Springs Recycling Center on Morgan Falls Rd, and do business as " Keep Sandy Springs Beautiful" and " Keep Johns Creek Beautiful."

Our primary focus areas are litter prevention, beautification, waste reduction, water conservation, and environmental education.
