Solar thermal cooking is an appropriate technology for renewable energy, and it is greatly needed since almost 3 Billion people still cook over open fires with wood, charcoal or animal dung. Solar cooking is a
healthy, safe, and sustainable solution.
Solar Cookers International is the non-profit leading the solar cooking sector since 1987. We need your help doing economic research and analysis on the impacts of solar cooking. We will share the economic
benefits of solar cooking (in addition to the environmental, health, and social benefits) with country and community leaders. This will show people the value of investing in solar cooking and the economic return
on it, for individuals, households, countries, and our planet.

SCI empowers women, halts deforestation, and has more than 500 collaborators in over 135 countries.
SCI is the leading source of solar cooking information in the world. saves lives and environments, promoting solar cooking and solar water pasteurization knowledge.
SCI advocates through its special consultative status at the United Nations to educate more NGOs and government representatives about the transformational power of solar cooking for their constituents.
SCI is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Sacramento, CA, and has received the highest ratings possible from charity rating organizations such as the Better Business Bureau, Charity Navigator, and GuideStar.
