Easy, Impactful Volunteering From Home *Special COVID-19*

Hey there!

Finding yourself with a little free time? Send cheerful, handwritten cards to our elders! These are fun, one-way, one-time letters, not an ongoing pen-pal commitment. Due to COVID-19’s impact on services and visits, many older adults would benefit from friendly connections during this deeply isolating time. The health impacts of loneliness are significant; chronic loneliness has the equivalent health effect as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Now is the time to reach out to our most vulnerable. Can you, or anyone you know, help us?

Please let me know which of these you are able to do:

• One time:

• I can send 10 cards this week, and provide my own stamps.
• I can send 25 or more cards this week, and provide my own stamps.
• I can do even more! Let’s chat! (If you can commit to 50 or greater cards total, we can asssist with postage :D )

• Ongoing:

• I/my group can send X cards per week, for the duration of the COVID-19 shelter-in-place mandates for the US - let’s chat!

After replying with whichever scenario you’re up for, I will send you details about how to proceed.
