Do you have an old laptop or tablet that you no longer use? Don't throw it away! Instead, please donate it to us. We will refurbish the computers, wipe the hard drives, and donate them to someone in need! Barbera Foundation has partnered with a local non-profit called Cornerstones ( https://www.cornerstonesva.org/about-us/ ), whose mission is to promote self-sufficiency by providing support for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare, and other human services. Cornerstones works with individuals and families that are transitioning out of homelessness and who are in need of subsidized housing. In addition to providing food and shelter, they also support families and children in career advancement/education assistance by providing them with laptop computers. Donations of laptop computers can help people advance their careers and education. In addition, these computers allow children to more effectively do their homework, stay ahead in class, and ultimately achieve their full potential. So bottom line, if you have an old laptop that is collecting dust and not being used, it can definitely help get someone out of a difficult financial situation. Donate it!
