As a nonprofit we are constantly looking to increase the outreach we have in the community. And this is where you come in! We are looking for dedicated Committee member(s) with an art interest and willingness to promote the Battle of the Teal art program to their community.
Activities will be determined based on the committee type:
- Visual arts committee
- Performing arts committee
- Parent committee
- Community outreach committee
- Youth committee
- Fundraising committee
About the program
We created this platform to serve as an outlet for youth to use their artistic expressions to engage and connect with the community and their peers. Art is a great way to channel emotions and improve social-emotional wellness. Plus, creativity is sought after by today’s employers. Each generation faces new challenges and our education system must continually engage, motivate and stimulate our students in being properly prepared to meet those challenges. The next generation of aspiring leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs will be leading a far more complicated diverse people who are well-informed yet unprepared. It’s imperative to influence and shape newer generations for a better future.
