Position Description: Lab Assistants help students during regularly scheduled lab times. Students utilize the lab for the job search, homework, cashiering and customer service practice, and more.

Position openings:

• Mondays 12:30 - 2pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise the computer lab during your scheduled shift.
• Assist students with WorkSource job search resources.
• Help students with online job search.
• Support students with cover letters and resume
• Roles and responsibilities vary slightly by Job Training and Education Center location.
• Other assignments as needed.

Role Requirements & Abilities:

• Experience working with a diverse community of learners preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and consistent.
• Patient, understanding, and caring.
• Strong listening skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Experience with (or the ability to learn) WorkSource job search resources. Volunteers will spend time familiarizing themselves with specific software before they begin volunteering.
