We thank you for your interest in volunteering with Oakland First Fridays!

Please help First Fridays to grow into becoming a first rate Zero Waste event. Choose to be "part of the
solution, rather than part of the problem". Pause for just a moment to observe the signage before tossing
your plate of leftovers or beverage container into one of the three green, blue and black bins. If you are
up to it, then we applaud you. We also ask that you encourage your less attentive buddies to do likewise.

The time commitment for this position: Oakland First Fridays are looking for volunteers to help sort and recycle on First Fridays from 6pm - 9pm and on Saturday from 9am - pm. We are also looking for volunteers who can volunteer during the event at any 3-bin station as a monitor, to advise our patrons how to properly separate and place their discards into the correct receptacles.

Volunteers will be provided with a free T-shirt and also a food voucher during the Oakland First Friday festival. This is a stipend position.
