ORGANIZATION: Inland Empire United Way

Help foster a generation of readers! ieReads aims to encourage a love of reading and ensure that more children in the Inland Empire are reading at grade level by the end of the 3rd grade. For this opportunity, ieReads is teaming up with Foothill Family Shelter, a nonprofit organization who houses homeless families located in Upland.

We are looking for a volunteer who can volunteer for at least 1 hour every other Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Foothill Family Shelter’s process group apartment in Upland. Volunteer responsibilities include inspiring a passion for reading by reading to kids ages, 0 to 12. Experience working with students is preferred but not required.

Volunteer will be asked to make a commitment to volunteering bi-weekly for one hour starting March 28th and ending June 27th.

Please ensure to connect with Beth Castaneda at bcastaneda@ieuw.org to be scheduled. Volunteers that do not confirm with staff facilitating this event will not be allowed to participate.
