Roanne's Race needs race day volunteers to help runners have the best race day possible!
Volunteers are needed for these important roles:
- Set up/breakdown of race equipment
- Directors/Encouragers along the 5K and 10K courses
- Registrant check-in and packet distribution
- Merchandise table assistance
- Passing out fruit, goodie bags, etc
- Picking up trash
- Walking 5k route as "caboose"
- Other race day needs
We do plan on having a volunteer meeting a week before the race at the location. We will assign leadership roles and some jobs at the meeting. Attendance to the meeting is not mandatory, but is appreciated.

About ROANNES RACE
Location:
Livermore, Livermore, CA 94550, US
Mission Statement
Roanne's Race aims to bring the community together for an energizing run/walk event, and encourages runners to support us in helping to decrease the number of colon cancer cases in people under 50.
Description
Roanne's Race is a dream come to actuality in honor of Roanne Cairel. Before losing her battle with colon cancer at the age of 24, her friends and family told her they wanted to do something for her in her name, to honor her. She expressed that she wanted a 5k for colon cancer research, and they took that idea and "ran with it".
Roanne's Race is a 5K/10k run/walk event that will take place every year on the last Saturday of March, rain or shine. This year Roanne's Race will take place on March 28, 2020.
All of the proceeds from the race will be donated to support the research of colon cancer, specifically among young people. This year we will be repeating our support of Colon Cancer Alliance and its under 50 awareness initiative
