Wayne Main Street is looking for committed volunteers to join our organization! Our organization is seeking committed individuals who are interested in serving with Wayne Main Street in a leadership capacity to help with our Spring Mother's Day event.
Committee Members/Leaders will be responsible for working with Wayne Main Street staff to plan and execute this event. We are seeking 3 committee members and 1 project leader to help plan our Mother's Day event (Saturday, May 11th). Formerly Chocolate Walk, Wayne Main Street is looking to add a couple other elements to the event this year. Committee members will be responsible for helping to plan and market the event. This is a great opportunity for volunteers with event planning or fundraising experience, as well as volunteers with relationships to downtown Wayne businesses. Committee members will dedicate between 15- 24 hours planning and attending this project.

Since 2014 Wayne Main Street, a grassroots organization has spearheaded the efforts of community partners and volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to create a vibrant downtown Wayne. WMS brings the community together to honor Wayne’s history and long-standing traditions and we celebrate efforts and investments that are enhancing appearances, strengthening the downtown economy, and paving the way to an exciting future.
Our collective actions are creating a ripple effect with far reaching impacts to touch the lives of all who have a stake in downtown Wayne today, and for generations to come.
Main Street works to market the downtown and all that it has to offer through cooperative advertising campaigns and special events that draw customers into the doors of our downtown businesses. Main Street continuously works to enhance the look of the downtown and improve the walkability through the installation of benches, the purchase of new self-watering flower planters, downtown clean up events, façade improvements, and more.
