Assistance Needed - Children's Festival of Stories
We have invited national, regional & local children's book authors & illustrators to visit with
children, parents/guardians, educators & librarians in Denver. There will be panel discussions & story times throughout the event, October 7, as well as opportunities for children to meet one-on-one with authors & illustrators.
There are several volunteer opportunities:
- Prep work 2 weeks prior to Event (preparing posters, organizing collateral materials)
- Set Up/Breakdown event space
- Support help at Registration Table
- Assisting Authors & Illustrators during Story Time sessions
- Ushering during event
- Helping children with Bookmark crafting
Help is needed & appreciated for ALL or ANY PART of the weeks prior and/or Day of Free Event!

Description
Founded in July 2018, Books to Kids serves children, ages 0 to 12 years, in the Denver Metro area and environs.
Our goals include hosting the 3rd Children's Festival of Stories on October 7, 2023 as well as donating FREE, NEW books to elementary school children throughout the Denver Metro area. The festival is a day-long FREE event that features national, regional and local children's book authors & illustrators of board books, picture books, chapter books & middle grade novels. Our featured presenters offer book signings, panel discussions as well as meet-and-greet sessions with children and their families, educators, librarians.
An additional goal is to raise $15,000 to help fund future Festivals as well as Book Giveaways. If you are not available to volunteer time, please consider donating for future events at https://www.bookstokidsco.com/donate
