Bascom Branch Library

The Friends of the Bascom Branch Library hold a book sale once a quarter. All proceeds from the sale of donated books help fund library programs.

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, February 8th. Two shifts are available from 9am-12 pm & 12-3 pm to help monitor the sale and pack up the remaining books for storage. Groups are welcome to sign up. We need 4 volunteers from 9 - 12 and up to 8 volunteers between 12-3pm.

Highly desired: The ability to lift 30 pounds.

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
