ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics North Carolina

Special Olympics North Carolina is seeking a responsible individual to serve as Fundraising Chair in Brunswick County. The Fundraising Chair is responsible for organizing efforts to raise money for the local program.

Minimum responsibilities :

  • Recruit, screen and train new members of the Fundraising Committee
  • Attend and fully participate in local committee meetings
  • Ensure that an annual fundraising plan is developed, approved by the Finance Chair and Local Program Coordinator and implemented
  • Submit a final report to the local coordinator to assist with local accreditation document

Potential additional responsibilities:

  • Come up with fun, new ideas to raise a maximum amount of money with a minimum amount of effort
  • Utilize athletes and/or volunteers at fundraising events
  • Solicit donations from local businesses and members of the community
