Soar into the world of aerospace and experience the future of flight with us as a volunteer. We are seeking storytellers and aviation/space fanatics alike to join our team of Aerospace Ambassadors. You will help educate our nearly 500,000 Aviation Center visitors and meet people of all ages from nearly 200 countries. How do you accomplish this? By bringing our Aerospace Gallery to life, sharing documented stories about the development of our exhibits and where the future of aerospace may take us. This includes our new space exhibit, the Destiny Module. Here are just a few of the characteristics of our ideal Aerospace Ambassadors:

  • Passion for the future of aerospace and igniting that passion in others.
  • Great people skills - enjoy meeting and educating people while being exposed to cultural diversity.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Knowledge of aviation (AvGeeks) and/or space (SpaceGeeks) is ideal, but not necessary. We can get you schooled up pretty quickly. The rest is up to you!
  • Hours: Aerospace Ambassadors may select their volunteer shift (10:00-1:00pm, 1:00-3:00pm, or 3:00-5:30pm) within the core exhibit hours (10am to 5:30pm). There’s no limit to the number of ambassadors needed as we operate seven days a week, 362 days of the year. You can sign up by yourself or with your family, friends and coworkers.

Description

The Institute of Flight is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves as the operator of the Future of Flight Aviation center and Boeing Tour facility, which is owned by Snohomish County.

Our role is to strengthen and deepen the visitor experience and provide hands-on STEAM related educational programs to Snohomish County students. We are able to achieve this due to the generosity of our partners, sponsors, members and donors.

The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour debuted in Fall 2005 as a unique aviation interpretive center and the home of the Boeing Tour, their Everett WA assembly plant.

The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour offers a remarkable opportunity to see both commercial jet production today and the direction aviation is headed in the future. The Future of Flight Aviation Center Gallery features hands-on exhibits, videos, meeting and conference space and spectacular viewing of planes from that take-off and land at Paine Field on a daily basis.
