Since our inception, we have focused on one motto: We can all make a change. We may not be in a perfect position to help others, but we are all different. We can all teach and learn from one another as we go.

Whether it is volunteering as a Teaching Artist with adults or children, assisting with language translation, volunteer coordination, social media & marketing, photography, web development, or sheer enthusiasm, we always welcome opportunities to grow together.

Our weekly Creative Expression workshops with survivors and their children will take place every Friday from 12-5pm, starting March 13th-May 29th, 2020 with a culminating showcase the evening of May 29th.

Contact us with your interests and availabilities and we can find what works best for you!

Mission Statement

We empower survivors of economic hardships, domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking through creative expression, entrepreneurialism, and community engagement. Through our programs, they are encouraged to spread their wings here, there, and EVERYwhere.

Description

We are a nonprofit, repurposed goods platform that provides survivors of economic hardships, domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking with an avenue for creative expression. While incorporating art therapy and ethical design* concepts, survivors are taught vocational & entrepreneurial skills in sewing, jewelry making, and crafts to bring new life to discarded items. The end product is a culmination of creativity, catharsis, and dedication, which we share with you through the htE Dove .

The htE Dove is a transparency platform that allows you to track your donations and purchases, while connecting you with the individual survivors on a more personal level. Through the htE Dove , you know exactly how your contribution is making a difference!

*Ethical design upholds three main objectives: social responsibility, environmental awareness, and meeting the needs of the survivors, the public, and you!
