The Parent Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating an ongoing parenting support group based on the Circle of Parents mutual self-help and shared leadership models. The Facilitator, in conjunction with the parent representative(s), is responsible for the development and maintenance of the group and ensures that the group meets and maintains the partnerships standards of quality.
The Parent Group Facilitator
a) facilitates the process of mutual self-help
b) engages participants individually and as a group
c) works in partnership with parents to organize meeting logistics and plan meeting content
d) participate in meetings with support group advisory committee memebers
The Children's Group Facilitator
a) provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children
b) provide opportunities for children to enhance their self-esteem and practice social skills
c) model effective non-violent problem solving and conflict resolution techniques
d) support children and their parents to establish trust and positive interactions with each other.

Description
Minnesota Communities Caring for Children (MCCC), home of Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota and Circle of Parents(c), was awarded 501(c)(3) status in 1979 with the primary goal of preventing child maltreatment in Minnesota. Over the past 37 years, through successful collaboration with communities, businesses and public and private funders, MCCC has evolved from a small organization to a statewide entity with programs available in 57 of Minnesota’s 87 counties.
