ORGANIZATION: international Experience-USA (iE-USA)

At International Experience-USA (iE-USA) we believe that learning about other cultures, languages, and customs is the best way to dispel prejudices and embrace global citizenship, but we need your help! Whether it’s hosting a student or becoming a local coordinator, YOU can be an advocate for diplomacy and provide cultural enrichment opportunities in your life and community.

Host A Student

Hosting an iE exchange student is a life-changing experience for the entire family that lasts well after the time of the exchange. Open your heart and home to a student that wants to share in your life, community and culture.

Host Family Provides-a private or a shared bedroom, three meals a day, local transportation and a quiet place to study.

Student Provides- money for all personal and school expenses and insurance.

iE Provides- a local coordinator to help select a student that is right for your family and provide one on one support throughout the entire experience. Host families do not receive any form of payment.

Become a Local Coordinator (LC)

Want to promote cultural awareness and learning throughout your entire community? Become a LC with iE and be the catalyst that brings cultural exchange to your community.

LC Role- LCs are "the face" of iE in their local communities, spreading the good news of student exchange. As an LC, you connect with your community to share the opportunity for families to host, help potential host families through the application process and student selection. LCs serve as the main point of contact for students, host families and schools during a high school student’s year abroad, providing support and guidance every step of the way!

iE Provides- training, resources, continual support, generous incentives and an endless opportunity to bring positive experiences to lives and communities.
