ORGANIZATION: Rainforest Partnership

Founded in 2007 Rainforest Partnership (RP) is an international conservation organization dedicated to creating a world in which tropical rainforests thrive and support a balanced, healthy planet. We do this by working with communities to develop and market products made out of raw materials found only in the rainforest or by providing services that are unique to rainforest. When we're not saving rainforests, we are hard at work educating our community about the importance of living sustainably and protecting our environment. We do this by hosting an annual film festival, Films for the Forest, as part of SXSW's Community Screenings. We encourage everyone from students to seasoned filmmakers to submit films within the theme of our environment.

We are looking for a highly motivated volunteer team that will work hard to make Films for the Forest a success. Daily tasks will include: coordinating with SXSW, encouraging teachers and professors to work with their students to submit a film, reaching out to film organizations throughout the world, securing event vendors, communicating with the filmmakers, compiling films, and using creativity to make the film festival a success at SXSW.

If this position interests you, please send a copy of your resume to info@rainforestpartnership.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
