Announcing Helpbridge
New Disaster Response App Uses VolunteerMatch APIs
From 9/11, to Katrina, to Hurricane Sandy, we've seen over and over the chaos and tragedy that arise from disasters. We've also seen the critical role that nonprofits play in supporting local communities, helping them to prepare for and of course recover from disasters.

Last month Microsoft launched a new mobile application. Helpbridge, developed with support from VolunteerMatch, is now available on Windows Phone, Android and the iOS platforms. It's a disaster response app that helps people get help and give help during a natural disaster such as a hurricane or earthquake.

Learn how Microsoft used VolunteerMatch APIs to build its groundbreaking new app.

M∙A∙C Commemorates World AIDS Day with Heart and Soul
M∙A∙C employees are known for their style, spirit, soul and passion, but most of all, their collective heart.

Every year, on World AIDS Day, December 1st, M∙A∙C employees take off their brush belts, roll up their sleeves, and volunteer at HIV/AIDS organizations all over the world.

In 2012, over 2,000 M∙A∙C employees joined together for M∙A∙C’s 4th Global Volunteer Initiative, contributing over 10,000 hours at 300 projects with M∙A∙C AIDS Fund grantees across 36 countries!

What makes their program such a success is how they incorporate two of the most important traits of successful employee volunteer programs that we see here at VolunteerMatch...
