American Red Cross Biomedical Services will fulfill the needs of the American people for the safest, most reliable and cost-effective blood services through voluntary donations.

Description

Are you great with people? Would you like to help give top-notch customer service and help save lives while you do it? Only 2.5% of our community members donate blood. As a Blood Donor Ambassador, you can support these individuals and ensure that they have a positive experience with the Red Cross. After their donation is complete, you will greet and watch over donors for any signs of reaction so you can alert staff if needed; you will also provide them with snacks, beverages, and important information, engage them in conversation, help them set up their next appointment and THANK them for making time to help save lives.

I have always been intrested in activities involving medicine. I have some general knowledge about some medical subjects so I'm hoping volunteering would increase my skills in the field. I have family members who share this passion as well so they would be glad hearing about this organization.
