A grant writer for this opportunity would enjoy flexible work from home hours and opportunity to work with other individuals and teams. Responsibilities Define, assess and understand our organization's programs, goals, and financial needs through the lens of foundation giving trends Maintain the foundation prospect list and continue to identify, vet, and update the list Prepare, submit, and corroborate grant proposals to federal, state, and local government agencies and foundations, as well as individual, family, and corporate funders while working closely with our organization’s subject matter experts. What we are looking for: 2+ years of experience as a grant writer Strong writing and presentation skills Ability to write clear, structured and persuasive proposals. Organized, motivated, and curious, and able to work through multiple projects at the same time. Have a solid understanding and commitment to our mission. Good networking and PR skills.

Job Title: Volunteer Experienced Senior Development Specialist Organization: Think Round, Inc. Location: San Francisco, California Think Round, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering creativity, sustainability, and community engagement. We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Specialist to join our team as a volunteer. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our twin visions: completing The Paradise Project and building The Center for the Human Family at Hunters Point Shipyard in San Francisco. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled development professional to make a significant impact on our organization's growth and community development initiatives. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Participate in the development and refinement of strategic plans to achieve Think Round's twin visions, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to define measurable goals, targets, and action plans for the completion of The Paradise Project and the establishment of The Center for the Human Family. Fundraising and Resource Mobilization: Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, sponsorships, and individual donors, to support the implementation of the twin visions. Prepare compelling grant proposals, fundraising campaigns, and donor appeals to secure financial resources for the projects. Cultivate relationships with existing and potential donors, partners, and stakeholders to enhance resource mobilization efforts. Project Management: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of The Paradise Project, including design, construction, and community engagement, to ensure successful completion within defined timelines and budgets. Develop and implement project management frameworks, including work plans, schedules, budgets, and performance indicators, to track progress and ensure effective project execution. Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the project lifecycle. Partnership Development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with government agencies, community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders to support the development of The Center for the Human Family. Nurture and maintain relationships with partners, fostering collaboration and leveraging resources to maximize the impact and sustainability of the projects. Represent Think Round in meetings, conferences, and networking events to promote awareness and support for the organization's initiatives. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting: Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the progress, effectiveness, and impact of the twin visions. Collect, analyze, and interpret data to generate reports, presentations, and communication materials that effectively communicate project outcomes and impact to stakeholders. Provide regular updates to the executive team and the Board of Directors on project status, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as business administration, nonprofit management, or development studies) is preferred. Proven experience (at least 5 years) in development, fundraising, or project management roles within the non-profit sector or a related field. Demonstrated success in securing funding from diverse sources, including grants, foundations, corporate sponsorships, and individual donors. Strong project management skills, with a track record of effectively managing complex initiatives from planning to completion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of the San Francisco community, its cultural dynamics, and development landscape is desirable.
