CONNECT, a program of the West Hollywood Comprehensive Service Center/JFS is a program that helps seniors and adults with disabilities continue to live independently in the homes and community that they love. Participants face difficulties getting to the market, doctors appointments, hairdresser, and running errands due to challenges with transportation, navigating stairs and carrying packages. Companionship is equally important to participants, who are often lacking meaningful personal connections. Special care is made in matching people with complimentary interest and outlooks. The program social worker provides a screening of all participants. Volunteers are screened, trained and provided with on-going support.
