Description

People love pets! They're cute, cuddly and fun! But having a pet involves much more than just love. There's a huge commitment involved; pets need food and water, medical care and lots of attention. Unfortunately, with all of these responsibilities, many people find that they are in over their heads. The result is a large number of unwanted pets. That's where MCACC comes in. We do what we do because over 55,000 animals in Maricopa County need us each year! MCACC strives to take care of animals and to be proactive and offer programs to serve the needs of the animals in our care and the community, such as our Adoptions program and Spay/Neuter Voucher program and more!

I volunteered here for over five years. I fostered cats and kittens and trained new volunteers. There is always a tremendous amount of work to do, and it is fulfilling in every way. If you are looking for a place where you can make maximum impact, it is here. The volume of animals and the need are so immense it can be overwhelming, but everything you can do to help is greatly appreciated.
