Mission Statement

Covina Public Library's mission is to provide an institution where informational, educational and recreational materials are easily accessible to the entire community; to meet the library's ever changing needs; and to develop a staff that is well able to select, organize and maintain the library's collection and meet individual needs. Built on the bedrock of literacy and essential to the library’s mission, are its goals to address the community needs and trends of people in all stages of life and to bridge library services to provide opportunities to help library constituents develop their human potential and provide opportunities, for them to improve their economic status.

Description

The Covina Public Library engages the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. We offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
