I have always loved coming to the library to either pick out a new book or do my homework/projects there since it's such a quiet place. However, I saw such little assistance there and not that many volunteers at libraries. I always wanted to give back to my community that I grew up but just never had the time or motivation to do so. Until I recently signed up for my school's community service/giving back project. I hope to volunteer at the Malcolm X Branch Library so I can use my time there to give back and it's also my favorite library growing up.

It would be a great opportunity to get the chance to spread the importance of knowledge. As well that there is a possible chance of helping kids learn how to read or helping adults find the necessary tools to enhance their reading.
