The Task Force is comprised of community members who work together to promote literacy in Bartholomew County.
Mission Statement
Literacy is critical to the economic and personal well being of all Bartholomew County residents. Our schools play a primary role in children's literacy development, but the needs of all youth in Bartholomew County can only be met through community-wide initiatives. We are at a critical crossroads.
The Goals of the Task Force are:
- all children will come to school ready to learn
- all students will be reading on grade level by second grade
- all parents will be equipped to support their child's education
- All adults will be supportive of the Bartholomew County Literacy Task Force initiatives
