Today is the fourth anniversary since my volunteer orientation with the Red Cross. Since then, I have worked as a DAT member, been trained for national deployment with DSHR, done staffing, casework, emergency messaging, liaison work at the EOC, training and joined the financial/statistical information team. There is virtually no limit to kinds of opportunities available at the Red Cross. The small team of staff has worked to make these opportunities some of the most positive and educational experiences of my adult life. I recommend the Red Cross to anyone looking for a service opportunity, because I am confident that there is a place for everyone here.
