Volunteering with the Phoenix C.O.P.S. program is a great way to not only meet other like-minded individuals who want to donate their time, but also a way to make an impact on communities by assisting the local law enforcement. There are a wide range of volunteer opportunities, from administrative work to technology to victim outreach.

I have applied with the Phoenix Police department for Police recruit about two years ago, but was not able to complete the process because of surgeries needed. At this point I still have a dream to help the public enjoy the peace in their neighborhood. Because of budget there are no hiring dates. In addition, all my life I have been very active in the community volunteering and helping others. In my life I have been exposed to domestic violance, rape, child molestation, theft and other.

the workforce is probably very thin; and could use a helping hand
