"To support and improve the quality of life for our 8th District Officers, which in turn enhances the security and safety of all 8th District Citizens."

Description

COPS 8 was founded in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to provide a bridge between the community and the police. Whether it is honoring Officers for their outstanding service or getting them the equipment they need, COPS 8 strives to address all the needs of the 8th District Officers not met through other channels. This is accomplished by a combination of volunteer time and funding. Much as the New Orleans Police & Justice Foundation accepts donations to serve the NOPD as a whole, COPS 8 accepts donations for the 8th District Police.
