Mission Statement

RSVP (sponsored by the AARP Foundation) enhances our communities by engaging volunteers, age 55 and over, matching their experiences, talents and interests to meaningful service.

Description

RSVP is America’s largest volunteer network for people age 55+ serving nearly 500,000 volunteers across the country who are working together to make a real difference in communities. RSVP is a program of Corporation for National and Community Service and is designed to strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering of adults 55+ years old. We can assist you in finding the right volunteer opportunity. Think of us as match.com for Volunteers and those needing Volunteers.

RSVP Southeast Louisiana is sponsored by the AARP Foundaton; a charitable affiliate of AARP. Every year the AARP Foundation helps millions of struggling older Americans meet their basic need for nutritious food, safe and affordable housing, adequate income and much-needed personal connections.

To be an RSVP volunteer you need to be at least 55 years of age and be willing to volunteer in one of the following parishes - East Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston, East and West Feliciana, St. Helena, Tangipahoa and Washington. RSVP volunteers make a big difference in the lives of others. You will be working with dedicated staff and other volunteers who are committed to helping their community and, of course, you’ll meet great people who, like yourself, want to make a difference in our community.
