MISSION & OBJECTIVE The mission of the Poppy Jasper International Short Film Festival is to showcase emerging independent short films. We offer filmmakers public screenings, exposure to industry professionals, and the opportunity to further their skills. We pride ourselves on offering an intimate setting for audiences to interact with filmmakers and view films they might not otherwise get the opportunity to see.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Previously called "The Poppy Jasper Short Film Festival," it was updated to the "Poppy Jasper International Film Festival" (PJiFF) in 2015 and began accepting feature length or short films. PJiFF is a project, under the auspices of Poppy Jasper, Inc., a tax exempt 501(c)(3) Public Benefit Corporation.
PJiFF is supported by a group of volunteers dedicated to providing filmmakers of all types, a venue to: showcase their work; participate in educational & informational workshops; network and share artistic expression with independent filmmakers and other film industry professionals, students and enthusiasts.
Morgan Hill is a charming, quaint town located in southern Santa Clara Valley, approximately 12 miles south of San Jose and 15 miles inland from the Pacific Coast. Surrounded by the Santa Cruz and Diablo mountain ranges, Morgan Hill is home to many fine wineries, hiking trails, and restaurants, as well as the semi-precious stone, Poppy Jasper, from which the festival’s name is derived. Poppy Jasper, a world-renowned, semi-precious gemstone unique to Morgan Hill, is characterized by red and "poppy-yellow" circles (orbs) on a field of white or black.
