Mission Statement

The Miracle League of Western PA provides every person with a disability the opportunity, regardless of ability, to play baseball, basketball, soccer, flag football and net related sports on a safe synthetic playing surface designed specifically for their needs. We give special needs children and adults the facilities to make friends, build self-esteem, exercise to build strength and endurance, and provide them with a sports complex that matches those given to every other child and adult without disabilities. Through outreach and a pairing of players with buddies we teach non-disabled persons that those with disabilities are highly challenged individuals that enjoy the same American pastimes.

Description

The Miracle Laague plays sports at The Rotary Miracle Sprots Complex of Murrysville located at the Community Park of Murrysville, PA. The facility includes a little league sized baseball field (Bill Mazeroski Field), a basketball court, a quarter-mile walking path with excecise stations and concession/restroom building. All of the components are designed for accessible access. THe fields allow us to play baseball, basketball, soccer, flag football and net games.

Volunteers serve as "Buddies", coaches, team moms (dads), umpires, announcers and more.
