I served with Dream Center for 2 years in Bushwick, Brownsville, Chelsea, and East Harlem. My favorite spot is the old warehouse in Bushwick. I enjoyed coming to the packing parties on Thursdays and Fridays after working my overnight shift. Dream Center makes serving really fun. They let volunteers request clean, and upbeat songs for the playlist. The music is worth listening to because it is good. Their events are very organized and efficient. They are the nicest and sweetest people I ever met. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty. When I reach out, they respond back quickly, always willing to offer their support.

Dream Center is literally my favorite place to spend time volunteering at in the city - they really put a lot of effort into making volunteers feel welcomed and cared about and the atmosphere is so fun and energetic. I've met so many other volunteers there from such diverse backgrounds and age ranges so it's always really fun. They are a Christian nonprofit organization and you can tell because everyone is so kind, but it's never them shoving anything down your throat or pushy or anything like that. Seriously, such a good experience.

The Dream Center NYC is awesome! They are super fun to serve with and keep things well organized. It's great to partner with an organization that is so consistent in serving NYC communities.

Dream Center is amazing! I love the work they are doing in the city and especially showing up in times like this. Their volunteer coordinator Erica is so kind and welcoming!! I loved working in their warehouse and with their team, I felt so at home. The refreshments were a nice touch, you can tell they really care for their volunteers.
