Sponsoring Education Abroad awards scholarships to U.S. high school and college students, allowing them to take advantage of study abroad programs available at their current campus or through accredited independent programs.
There are approximately 3.5 million college students in the State of California. Less than 0.08% (approximately 25,000) of them take advantage of study abroad programs. The main reason cited for non-participation is financial.

Our purpose is to ensure that high school and college students with financial need and a passion for learning about other cultures, languages and societies have the opportunity to study overseas in order to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding required in our globally interconnected and multicultural world.
