Volunteering with the Adult Literacy Program has been a very rewarding experience for me, and the process of getting involved was easy and simple. I have been working with a student since February 2012 and seeing the progress with him has been great. My interest in becoming an educator within the next few years has also greatly increased...On the same day that I emailed the LIbrary with my interest in volunteering I received a reply from the program's coordinator. I met with him the following week, and after a little paperwork I was working with the student at a branch library near my house. I strongly recommend this volunteer opportunity!
