Mission Statement

The Discovery Center encourages curiosity, critical thinking and creativity through the exploration of Science and the Arts (STEAM).

Description

The Discovery Center has been inspiring and teaching students, teachers and parents about science through our "Museum Without Walls" programs (outreach and community events) on a continuing basis for over 20 years. Programs include Family Science Nights, Reading Awakens Young Scientists, Discovery Center Teens, STARLAB, GoGirls Summer Camp and Science Speaker Series. Through these outreach programs, staffed by an all volunteer cast, The Discovery Center has served over 200,000 individuals across Ventura County and western Los Angeles County.
