Our mission is to help vulnerable individuals stabilize their lives through housing and supportive services.

Description

BED PLUS manages 7 overnight shelters and a daytime support center in West Suburban Cook County. Our agency has connections with 25 different service providers whom our Case Managers work with to connect our clients to for services they may need. Volunteers help to provide compassion and safety to our clients. Volunteers provide evening meals and breakfast at our overnight shelters. Lunch is prepared for our day program.

I think providing homeless shelter's in communities is essential to the well being of individuals who are homeless, especially in today's economics . I recently lost my job in january and have never been out of work in 20years. My the grace of god ,I recently found a job. I realized that if I had not found a job soon, with no income I could loss my home and my children and I would be homeless . I really feel I would like to give back to the community by volunteering.
