VSI began in 2000 as a grassroots support group for people whose lives had been affected by vitiligo. In 2004 we became a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to improving the lives of vitiligo patients and building awareness of their needs within the medical and insurance fields, encouraging dermatology residents to go into clinical dermatology and supporting research. We collaborate with several skin coalitions in order to have a greater voice when expressing the need for increased funding for skin disease research and treatments and compassionate understanding for vitiligo patients. In addition to conferences and an informative website, we provide community forums for people to reach out and offer hope and support to others at times when they most need it as well as quarterly e-newsletters with up-to-date information about treatments and other vitiligo-related topics.

Vitiligo Support International Inc. (VSI) is a patient driven 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, committed to supporting those affected by vitiligo, raising awareness, promoting research, and discussing effective treatments until a cure is found.
