Mission Statement

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, with an emphasis on at-risk youth, building confidence, develop character, and acquire the needed skills to grow into productive, civic-minded responsible adults.

These goals are acquired by providing programs that emphasize personal and educational development, citizenship and leadership, social recreation, cultural enrichment, career and vocational training and health and physical education.

Description

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is one of the largest affliates of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Our clubs are desgined to meet the needs of the communities we serve.

From public schools to public housing, our Club members are given opportunities to dream again. Our staff supported by the dedicated groups of volunteers, show the kids how to turn dreams into reality through planning, education, and hard work.

At BGCGW, youth can have fun, be heard, and particiapte in educational, recreational, and social activities which sure beats "being home alone." Out ultimate goal is ensuring happiness and success in lives of young people by helping them:
