Mission Statement

Episcopal Migration Ministries builds a foundation for individuals forced from home and country to thrive in communities across the United States. Every refugee who reaches our shores brings tremendous gifts and capabilities to achieve success in the United States. Our mission is to provide every person we serve with the foundation required to live out those gifts to the fullest.

Description

EMM Miami has been serving refugees in South Florida since 1980. The agency provides services for newly arrived refugees to help put down roots in their first months in the new community. We provides long-term support services, including employment training, financial literacy, job-placement services, as well as specialized referrals to various community providers for refugees with medical and mental health needs.

Volunteers are an essential component to making this a smooth and enjoyable process. We encourage you to invest your time, talents, and skills in the fields of employment readiness, social services support, cultural integration, English tutoring, financial literacy, office assistance, and more.
