RSVP volunteers provide a vital service to our community, by providing a cost effective solution to gaps in resources. In FY 2004, over 700 RSVP volunteers contributed 78,060 hours, which is a $1,619,745 value to the community. Becoming a volunteer has many rewards, such as: making a difference in your community, learning new skills, meeting others with similar interests, and feeling a sense of accomplishment. In addition to these, volunteering through RSVP offers other benefits, like: limited mileage reimbursement, supplemental insurance for while you are on assignment, ongoing support (such as training for specific assignments and newsletters), and recognition for your contributions (e.g. the Annual RSVP Volunteer Luncheon).
