Mission Statement
To provide a structured recreation, socialization, and extra-curricular learning environment in the Southeast quadrant for the citizens of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Description
In the late 1990's a group of concerned citizens in the southeast quadrant of Fayetteville recognized that a safe place with quality educational support, recreation and social opportunities was needed in their neighborhood. These concerned citizens decided to ask the City of Fayetteville for help- the Yvonne Richardson Community Center was established. Since that time, the center has grown and become a safe haven for kids after school, a place for; adults to socialize, use of the Internet and get physical exercise. On special occasions, neighbors meet at YRCC for social functions & holiday events. Our partnership with the City of Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department and the Southeast Fayetteville Community Center Board (SEFCC) allows a level of flexibility for programming to remain free or very affordable. Partnerships with Pagnozzi Charities and other organizations also help keep recreation very affordable for our youth. If you know of anyone who would benefit from our services please contact us at (479)444-3461.
