Mission Statement

The purpose of the travel club is to give students, parents, teachers & alumni an opportunity to have educational experiences around the world. Our traveling excursions expose everyone to a high level of learning, and the first-hand experiences are truly life transforming! Teachers develop an enriched curriculum while students can earn educational credits. Exposure to other cultures & ideas increases confidence to pursue dreams & passions, and improves our ability to contribute to the world!

Description

Every year the travel club experiences something new whether it is within the United States or internationally. Last school year there were 2 exciting trips planned: 1. Spring break tour of Historically Black Colleges & Universities in Georgia & Florida. 2. Summer break tour of Japan.

This school year we plan to tour Colleges in South Carolina & Georgia, and visit Greece & Italy in the Summer.

Levy Restaurants, provider for the GA Dome, Phillips Arena, and Centennial Park allows McNair Travel Club (students, teachers, and parents) to service guests during major events. Working in a real-world setting allows students to improve customer service skills, build character and work ethics. As a result of our hard work we learn valuable team building skills. Our goal is to see the world. By working together we reach our objectives sooner! Past international trips include Costa Rica, Paris, Barcelona, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, Japan, and Egypt. Volunteers are needed to work concessions.
